Our Story

It all began one day when Kason went to his pantry to get some gluten-free pasta (a staple in his house) for his dinner. He realized that he had run out and he couldn't believe it! He ALWAYS had gluten-free pasta in his pantry, but somehow, he forgot to buy some the last time he went to the store.

He was telling his friends Ryan, Stefanie, and Rahzae about his frustration, and they all chimed in with their own similar stories, and how they wished there was a way to track their grocery items so they could replace them before they ran out, or ensure they were used before they passed their expiration date.

And foodWise was born....

Kason Braley

Kason is a Navy veteran with a passion for streamlined solutions to everyday problems. His hobbies include spending time with his fiancée and two dogs, playing chess, and playing ice hockey.

Ryan Emmans

Ryan is a Seattle based software developer previously from Chicago. Along with an extensive and diverse background in craft bartending and furniture making, he has a devoted passion for all platforms of visual design. In his free time, he finds pleasure in hiking, riding bikes, nerding out over architecture, and hanging out with his cat.

Stefanie Riehle

Stefanie is a Seattle transplant who still can't believe she gets to live here, even after nearly 10 years. In a former life she was an HR professional, but now brings ideas to life through programming. In her free time, she enjoys the arts, a good craft beer or whiskey, and hanging out with her amazing daughter, her friends, and her many, many houseplants.

Rahzae Williams

Rahzae is a Navy veteran who loves to build websites. He enjoys photography, art, and long walks with his pittie, Stormy.
